10 things I’m looking forward to...

We’ve entered our busiest season for the photography business. I looked at my blog archives to see how I blogged last year. Well the answer is barely. I wrote two posts in November and one in December. This year I made a commitment for one post a week, and while I love that I’ve written more this year than I have in the past few years, keeping up in November is hard.

As of today, Christopher has been back in school for a week (from being out due to Hurricane Florence). We are all exhausted. Our normal busy November does not usually coincide with football practice and games. Additionally, the school day is starting 15 minutes earlier to make up some time. We caught a break falling back with the time change but surprisingly 15-minutes early is still a big deal.

I’m pretty burnt out with news, elections, getting up 15 minutes earlier….. eh. I can’t even think of 10 things I’m looking forward to without wishing my life away.

I’m just going to put my fingers on asdf jkl; and treat this as a 5-minute stream of consciousness.

So in no particular order, I present:

10 things I’m looking forward to

  1. When Christopher cook dinner or some of it

  2. When I can wear winter clothes and boots

  3. When I don’t have to drive anywhere after 6pm

  4. When there’s a Saturday that I can sleep in

  5. When the mosquitos are gone (coincides with #2)

  6. Thanksgiving because Mom and Dad will be here

  7. Christmas because my brother and a sister-in-law will be at Mom & Dad’s

  8. All of our birthday’s next month

  9. Gift giving

  10. New Years because it’s always a needed reboot for HOPE.

Wow that was easy peasy. It rolled right off the asdf jkl;. And if you have no idea what that reference is daddy, those are the home keys for real typers.

So as I was typing, I realized that Monday is a holiday. The school district decided not to take away Veteran’s Day I guess because we live in a military town. So I’m really looking forward to Monday and I’ll probably say that 10 times to get me through this weekend.

This is a Listicle Friday post. It's the Week 2, of the old school blogging, prompt for the Finish the Sentence Friday writing community where I'm co-hosting with Kristi Campbell of Finding Ninee. This week we are sharing "10 things I’m looking forward to".

Join us for next week's FTSF prompt, a Stream of Consciousness post where we will be writing for 5-minutes on the optional prompt "Thankfulness”…
