The Christopher Chronicles 2.0 is Coming Soon!

It's February 1st! Wow, last month flew by. Did I say that already? This time, I'm not sad about it about because I worked January like a boss and I'm getting up at 5:00 am for my peaceful hour, like a champ.

If you missed it, there's a story about where my inspiration came from.

I'm making a new commitment for February and it's not one of my favorites. Marketing.Blah.

So it's Marketing Monday at KenyaGJohnson.com. I have no idea what I'm going to tell you every Monday, maybe a self-publishing tip I learned along the way or just book promo.

Today it's a book promo.

“The Christopher Chronicles 2.0 is coming soon! ”

It's been over a year since Christopher and I went through this book and edited out a chunk of material. There was a period that he went through where I thought he didn't want me to publish another book. But he knows this isn't a book for his peers and he now understands the humor in it.

Still we deleted on his basis of "too embarrassing", "not funny", "inappropriate" or "rude". Now we have a book of straight funny. He made up the fake names that we used in place of real names in the book.

We won't be using one of my long time seasonal favorites because the name can't be changed.

For a moment, I entertained changing the name to Summer but as you see that wouldn't have worked.

I have in my possession my first book sample. My rough draft came in last Tuesday. Even though the cover was different from what Christopher had approved, I still used his suggested color scheme and a word that he wanted in the subtitle is now in the back cover info. When he saw it he gasped, "You're DONE!?" I said, "No, I just wanted to see what it looked like so far." He rubbed it against his cheek and said, "This is nice mom."

Now I am tweaking my way through the aesthetics while beta readers are hopefully laughing their butts off.

Please sign up for my book promo newsletter. My book promo newsletter subscribers won't hear from me as often as here on Marketing Monday, but I don't want my blog readers might miss something important. Perhaps I can entice my book promo subscribers to subscribe to my blog; you all get the biggest slice of cake.

That's all folks! Signing off 5:59 am.
