We've been friends...
Me & Daddy 1997, waiting to make our grand entrance. In a month and a half, I would be leaving for Japan. We didn't know this yet.
Home for a visit 1999, after being away for a year and a half.
Here's the thing... there was that bumpy road from puberty, through teen years, to "when are you going to get married?", that my brother and mom may have asked us, "Can't ya'll just get along?"
We finally did, after he gave me away and I said, "I do."
We've been friends ever since.
Today is my daddy's birthday and I just wanted to give him a loving shout out.
