Coffee Break With A Special Guest
I have a special guest today! Over a month ago, without running it by mom, I called daddy directly and asked, "Can I have mom for a week in May?" I completely caught him off guard so he was super cool about it...
Jazz, Peace, Tea Time & Blogging about Borrowing Stuff
I just clicked over to the BlogHer Writing Lab prompt for today because I don't feel my coffee break writing flow coming. I'm going to roll with it even though I got nuthin'.
Coffee Break: On Busy Weekends with Family
A daddy visit rarely goes by where he isn't the star of the show on my blog. This post was originally going to be about his particular need to have Amy's pizza on Friday nights and doctoring it to his liking while listening to his music...
Coffee Break: Show & Tell
Today I'm sharing 10 pictures from my cellphone. I rarely share pictures (because it takes too long). There are a lot of food pictures on my cellphone but I'll spare you and skip over most to make a more interesting list.
Coffee Break: In A Sentimental Mood #MondayMusings
It's now four days later and I am still carrying over a little "Prince Died" funk. I was putting those feelings aside and then I answered some comments today from my Friday post... thus putting me in a sentimental mood.
Coffee Break: Peace, Writing & Shopping
When I dropped Christopher off today he said, "Mom, you don't have to drop me off RIGHT in front of the door." Thank goodness for that. My spirit is at peace today. And did I mention that jazz is playing?
Take the book. Leave the Cannoli.
I now have a table at B&N and I'm going to be totally bent out of shape if someone else is sitting here when I come in. It's like my own corner of the room to blog from on Monday's and Wednesdays...
Assuming makes a donkey out of you and me
I made it to Barnes & Noble again today with more pep in my step. Christopher was feeling better when I dropped him off at basketball camp and though he still asked me if I was staying, I felt less guilty about saying, "No." Today I brought a book with me because I wasn't sure if I was going to blog and then the title came to me.
On Mom Guilt and Spare Time #MondayMusings
And just like daycare when the caregivers would tell me that he was fine five minutes after I left, I know that Christopher was fine when he ran into the gym. But I still feel guilty about wanting to carve out some me time in the midst of his busy schedule.
