I Choose Peace

In Kenya's world, peace can be defined in just a few ways. I try to keep my t's crossed and i's dotted, but not everything can be controlled. In the real world the stars will never be aligned to perfection. Not even if I win the jagillion-dollar Powerball.

Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. - Author Unknown

Peace in My Corner of the World Is...

  1. To be the first one up.

  2. To have one hour to myself.

  3. To not worry about the day ahead.

  4. To write something.

  5. To read something.

  6. To have silence.

  7. To reflect.

  8. To dream.

  9. To accomplish.

  10. To pray.

My 2016 word of the year is PEACE. Choosing PEACEfor 2016 means that I have to make a commitment to get up and be in my corner by 5am.

Five o'clock is before the sun rises and the world of disturbance opens up around me.

Five o'clock is the "in the midst of" where I can be still and calm in my heart.

I choose Peace. It's one of the few things money can't buy.
