If my title is true, today I AM AN OREO.
Week 5 Weight Watchers Update
I write these posts ahead of time, so I neither write with the enthusiasm of losing, sadness of gaining or indifference to breaking even. This week I am hoping for breaking even. As I approached that glorious time of the month, the chocolate I craved was what was already in the house - Oreos.
I had a day last week where I said, "Now this is the day I need to model all my days after."
What I ate:
Breakfast
- 1 Cup of Cheerios, w/ bananas & strawberries, 1/2 cup of Unsweetened Almond Milk - 2 points
- Coffee w/ 2 TBSP of Half & Half - 1 point
Snack
- Shrimp Cocktail (14 shrimp) 1/8 cup of cocktail sauce - 4 points
Lunch
- Salad - Salad greens with grape tomatoes, 1 TBSP Sunkist Almond Accents, 2 TBSP of dried cranberries, Olive oil spray and Balsamic Vinegar - 2 points
Snack (not all at once)
- Coffee w/ 2 TBSP of Half & Half - 1 point
- Mixed Fruit (Cantaloupe, Strawberries and Pineapple)
- Baked Cheetos (34 pieces) - 4 points
Dinner
- Baked Tilapia 5oz, steamed zucchini and mushrooms - 4 points
Dessert
- 1/2 Cup Vanilla Ice Cream - 4 points
- 3 Oreo Cookies - 4 points
So that's what a 26 point day looks like and I was SO satisfied. I had planned my day for that dessert. I find my most successful days are when I have a salad for lunch. If I eat a lot of points for lunch and then I HAVE to eat a salad for dinner, it's not as enjoyable.
Here's the thing though... I was satisfied with three Oreos on that day but then I had to eat more Oreos over the weekend - 12 more to be not telling the truth exact.
Week Five: Lost 0 lbs Total Loss: 6 lbs
Whew!
